Fireplace Manufacturers Inc.: The Santa Ana-based company reported that its net income for the third fiscal quarter rose slightly, to $90,795 from $90,289. Sales for the quarter ended Dec. 31 jumped 25%, to $6.4 million from $5.1 million. Net income for the nine-month period more than doubled, to $641,664 from $261,962. Sales rose 35%, to $19.9 million from $14.8 million.
