Culver City : Firm to Design Fire Station
- Share via
The Culver City Redevelopment Agency on Monday unanimously selected Wolff/Lang/Christopher Architects Inc. to design the replacement for downtown Fire Station No. 1.
Agency staff cited the firm’s experience, cost estimate and willingness to complete its drawings within nine months in supporting its selection, according to a staff report. The firm will be paid $252,000 for its design.
The old station, at 9760 Culver Blvd. next to City Hall, is considered seismically unsafe, and its lot will become part of the new City Hall. The new station will be built about a block away, at the corner of Culver Boulevard and Irving Place.
