Detectives are investigating the shooting death of Cadelario Aguirre.
Aguirre was last seen alive about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, when his housemate and her daughter left the home in the 100 block of Via de Laurencio to drive their housekeeper home, said Deputy Robbie Arff.
When they returned about 11 p.m., they found Aguirre lying on the living room floor with a gunshot wound to his head.
Arff said that there was no sign of forced entry or struggle. The front door was ajar and the back door was open, she said.
Aguirre had reported a burglary in the home about a month ago, Arff said. She said that “a significant amount of money” had been stolen at the time. The exact amount of money reported stolen was not available.
