Washington State Loses 15th in a Row

PULLMAN, Wash. —
Washington’s Doug Meekins scored 19 points and Todd Lautenbach added 13 as the Huskies defeated Washington State, 59-56, in a Pacific 10 Conference basketball game Saturday. It was the Cougars’ 15th consecutive loss.
Washington, trailing 35-24 at halftime, shot 73% from the floor in the second half.
The Huskies (11-14, 5-11) opened the second half with a 25-7 run and held the Cougars (7-19, 1-15) to nine points in 15 minutes.
