P.M. BRIEFING : Matsushita, Du Pont Sign Pact
Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. said today it has signed an agreement with two subsidiaries of Du Pont de Nemours and Co. for joint development of materials for use by the electronics industry.
Matsushita said the Master Task Agreement was signed with Du Pont Japan Ltd. and Du Pont de Nemours International SA in Geneva. Under the agreement, the three companies will bring together their expertise and experience to develop materials for electronic manufacturers and exchange technical information between the Matsushita Group and the Du Pont Group worldwide.
The agreement stipulated basic terms and conditions for the exchange and protection of this proprietary technical information, the company said.
