Riley Is Winning, but He’s Not Doing It Right
Please do something about the Laker coach before it is too late. The players made him a great success, and now he believes he’s a coach.
Real coaches don’t talk about players being overpaid while they’re collecting $15,000 speaking fees to corporate suckers. Real coaches know that defense wins in the NBA.
Real coaches reward the guys who are doing the job on the court that night, with more minutes and confidence. Pat Riley sticks with a mindless substitution pattern.
Get hot, sit down. Two fouls, out for the half. Up by three, don’t foul--let them tie. Up by 10, change players or we might have a blowout.
Everyone said Bill Walsh was a genius. Well, after trying to mess up Montana, the 49ers were better and happier without him. Take note, Mr. Buss.
