COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Lugo and Williams Lead Fullerton in Track

Jaime Lugo and Artis Williams each won three events to lead Fullerton College to a 99-46 victory over Saddleback in an Orange Empire Conference men’s track meet at Saddleback.

Long won the 1,500 meters (4 minutes, two seconds), the 800 (1:57.40) and the 5,000 (16:25). Williams won the 100 (10.69), the 200 (21.9) and the long jump (21 feet 3 inches).

In another Orange Empire Conference men’s meet:

Orange Coast 89, Rancho Santiago 54--Dave Norville won the 100 (10.95) the 200 (22.1) and the long jump (21-6 1/4) for host OCC.

In Orange Empire Conference women’s track:

Fullerton 81, Saddleback 55--Gina Krouse won the high jump (5-2) and the triple jump (34-2 1/8) for Fullerton. Heather Fenner won the long jump (16-10) and the 200 (26.30) for Saddleback.

Orange Coast 120, Rancho Santiago 14--Christine Arribas won the 100 (12.9) and the 200 (26.9), and Maricela Benavides won the 1,500 (5:23.8) and the 3,000 (11:09) for OCC.
