A Sepulveda man was chased and stabbed to death by a group of men after a sidewalk argument, Los Angeles police reported Tuesday.

Daniel Sandoval, 23, died about 8:45 p.m. Monday at Panorama Community Hospital after being found on a curb at Sepulveda and Roscoe boulevards, with stab wounds in the upper body, Lt. L. A. Durrer said. No arrests were made.

Durrer said witnesses told police that Sandoval and two men were walking north on Sepulveda when they were confronted by five men. An argument followed. Sandoval and his friends ran from the other men in different directions.

Durrer said the five chased the others and at least one caught Sandoval and stabbed him. Sandoval’s two friends, who were not identified, were not hurt.
