LOCAL : Police Spoil Pizza Thieves' Snack

From Times Staff and Wire Reports

Three people were arrested after a delivery man was robbed of $11 and two pizzas, Orange police said today.

"The money was recovered, but they ate the pizzas," Orange Police Detective David Hill said. The robbery occurred about 8 p.m. Sunday when two suspects confronted a delivery man from the Two For One Pizza Co., Hill said. The suspects displayed a gun and took the money and pizzas, he said.

A short while later, an officer spotted suspects in a car that matched the delivery man's description of his attackers.

"After stopping the vehicle and a subsequent investigation, they were taken into custody for robbery," Hill said.

Arrested were Anthony Caraway, 21, of Santa Ana; Gerald Walker, 18, of Orange and Tina Kierzek, 18, of Orange. Kierzek allegedly placed an order for the pizzas and had them delivered to an undisclosed location in Orange, Hill said.
