THE SIDELINES : Giants Sign Last 2 on Roster
The Giants signed catchers Will Tejada and Jose Pena to one-year contracts today, leaving no one left unsigned on their 40-man roster.
Tejada, 27, spent last year with Class AAA Phoenix, hitting .212 in 62 games. He was out from June 9 to July 25 with a fractured kneecap suffered in a collision at home plate.
Pena, 24, played for Class AA Shreveport and Phoenix during his seventh season in the Giants organization. He hit .243 in 50 games for Shreveport and .222 in 32 games for Phoenix.
