From Santa Barbara to Chicago: “Goin’ to Chicago,” a film about personal relationships in the 1960s, beat out a dozen international contenders to claim the first-ever Best of Fest Award at the Fifth Santa Barbara International Film Festival. More than 23,000 people attended the 10-day festival that ended Sunday night and featured 90 films. “Goin’ to Chicago,” by film maker Paul Leder, chronicles the lives of several black and white people as they struggle for their personal and political beliefs.
