The People Chose: Bill Cosby won three awards and Roseanne Barr captured two trophies at the 16th annual People’s Choice Awards on Sunday night. Meryl Streep, Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman won the top nod in motion picture categories, while “Batman” took two trophies in film categories. Musical honors went to Paula Abdul, Bobby Brown, Kenny Rogers and Randy Travis. Cosby won his sixth straight trophy for favorite male television performer and an award for favorite all-around male entertainer. Barr won the same two awards in the female category.
