A Seal Beach woman and her boyfriend who were burned in a fire at her duplex Saturday remained in critical condition Sunday as Orange County fire investigators continued to try to determine the cause of the blaze.

Ralph Royston, 35, and Gay Kenyon, 24, suffered second- and third-degree burns after running through a wall of flames in attempting to escape a fire that broke out early Saturday morning in the living room of the duplex, fire investigators said.

Both victims were airlifted to the burn unit at UCI Medical Center in Orange, where they remained in treatment Sunday.
