LOCAL : Lancaster Stabbing Victim Dies
A 23-year-old stabbing victim died this morning after he was found lying in a Lancaster street next to his car, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
Mark Bergen of Lancaster died at 2:30 a.m. at Antelope Valley Medical Center, about two hours after he was found by a passer-by at the intersection of West Avenue J and Cedar Avenue, Deputy Chris Wahla said.
Bergen had been stabbed many times in the chest. There were no arrests, and deputies did not know of any motive for the slaying.
Wahla said the passer-by saw Bergen lying on the ground next to the open door of his car.
