Oz, New Kids and a Youthful Roseanne: Three new half-hour children’s shows will premiere Sept. 8 on ABC: “The Wizard of Oz,” based on the classic story; “Little Rosey,” the animated fantasy adventures of a 10-year-old Roseanne Barr; and “New Kids on the Block,” a live-action animated series featuring the musical group. The new shows will be added to the current lineup of children’s programming, which continues to include a series of public-service announcements on nutrition, computer literacy, anti-drug use and self-esteem.
