Jim Murray did nicely in his farewell piece on Tom Harmon, all the way up to where he stated, “You never went into a room with Harmon without someone coming up to you and recalling, ‘the day you beat us at Minnesota . . . ‘ “

Wrong, In Harmon’s career at Michigan, his team never beat Minnesota, taking three consecutive losses, and that fact was always a thorn in his memory and a point of pride with Gopher fans and Coach Bernie Bierman.
