‘Outsiders’ an Inside Move for Fox: Francis Ford Coppola’s television adaptation of the S.E Hinton classic “The Outsiders” became the highest-rated dramatic show ever on Fox Broadcasting Co. The show, which aired Sunday from 9:30-11 p.m., scored an 11.1 rating/18 share in the Nielsen overnight ratings. With the debut of “The Outsiders,” along with “The Simpsons” and “Married . . . With Children,” Fox scored a 11.9 rating/19 share and beat out NBC for the night. CBS led the evening, while ABC tied with Fox.
