MOORPARK : Man Shot in Arm on His Way Home
A Moorpark man was shot and wounded early Thursday morning as he walked to his home, authorities said.
Ruben Navarro, 50, was listed in fair condition after being taken to St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Navarro was shot in his left arm about 2 a.m. as he walked along Los Angeles Avenue, Lt. Richard Diaz said.
Diaz said detectives have not discovered a motive.
Navarro was under heavy sedation, Diaz said. Navarro was taken to the hospital, more than 40 miles from the shooting, by a family member, he said.
