Harry Gant passed the sputtering car of Bobby Hamilton with two laps remaining, then held off Bobby Labonte to win the Pontiac Pacesetters 200 Busch Grand National race at Darlington, S.C.
It was the 12th Grand National victory for Gant, who has won four Busch races and three Winston Cup events at Darlington. He earned $13,875 and averaged 129.689 m.p.h.
