BRADENTON, Fla. —
Sid Bream hit two homers and drove in four runs and Bobby Bonilla homered today in the Pittsburgh Pirates’ 8-5 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies.
Jay Bell had three hits and scored once and Andy Van Slyke, continuing his hot exhibition hitting, went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Van Slyke, coming off a disappointing .237 season, is batting .423.
