Track coach Tom Tellez and five athletes...
Track coach Tom Tellez and five athletes filed a $60-million libel lawsuit Wednesday against the German magazine Stern, claiming that an article accused them of drug use.
The suit, filed in Superior Court, asks for an unspecified amount of money for general damages plus punitive damages of at least $10 million for Tellez and each athlete. The athletes are Kirk Baptiste, Cletus Clark, Stanley Floyd and Anthony Ketchum--sprinters who competed under Tellez at the University of Houston--and Kermit Bowers.
