STAMP OF GREATNESS: Tim Wallach grew up in Orange County and became an All-Star third baseman for the Montreal Expos. . . . Now Wallach is among the baseball players enshrined on postage stamps by the tiny Caribbean island of St. Vincent. . . . Why this honor from a British Commonwealth nation that prefers cricket? Because St. Vincent’s stamps are printed by a New York firm that selects subjects titillating to stamp collectors. . . . Baseball is hot property, the firm says, but the sport “has no relevance at all to St. Vincent,” said an island official.
