Antoine Carr and Vinnie Del Negro each made two free throws in the final 11 seconds as the Sacramento Kings snapped a seven-game losing streak Monday with a 106-105 victory over the Seattle SuperSonics.

The loss at Seattle cut the SuperSonics’ lead over Houston for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference to a half-game.

Rodney McCray’s 22-foot jumper with 1:09 left gave the Kings a 102-97 lead. Dale Ellis, who scored 33 points and set a SuperSonics record with six three-point baskets, then scored to make it 102-99.

Del Negro made two free throws to give Sacramento a five-point lead before Derrick McKey’s three-pointer with four seconds left made it 104-102.

Carr’s two free throws with 2.8 seconds remaining gave the Kings a 106-102 lead, so Xavier McDaniel’s three-pointer at the buzzer was meaningless.

Carr, who has averaged 19 points since being traded to Sacramento from Atlanta, scored 11 in the fourth quarter.

Wayman Tisdale and Carr finished with 23 points apiece.

Phoenix 119, Utah 115--Kevin Johnson scored nine of his 37 points in overtime and Tom Chambers had 36 as the Suns made an NBA-record 61 free throws in winning at Phoenix.

The previous record was 60, set by the Washington Bullets against the New York Knicks on Nov. 13, 1987. The Suns attempted 80 free throws, the second-highest total ever.

Chambers sank three free throws in the final 25 seconds of overtime to clinch the victory.

Johnson finished with a team-record 23 in 24 attempts, bettering the 21-for-25 effort by Connie Hawkins against Seattle on Jan. 17, 1970.
