New Gates for Graceland: The custom-built gates of Elvis Presley’s Graceland, known for their musical notes and silhouettes of a guitar player, will be removed and restored in preparation of the coming tourist season. The gates will be taken down Sunday to undergo a one-week refurbishing at the Schering-Plough smithy at the National Ornamental Metal Museum in Memphis. The operation will include a total repainting and repair of rusted fragments.
