United Flight Attendants OK Contract: United Airlines flight attendants, in the first union vote on a proposed employee buyout, have approved a new contract that will take effect once the proposed buyout of the giant carrier is completed. The Assn. of Flight Attendants, based in Washington, said the contract was approved by a majority of the attendants who returned their ballots but declined to provide the exact vote total.
