Lanes on 2 Freeways to Be Shut for Repairs
All southbound lanes of the Long Beach Freeway in East Los Angeles at the east and westbound connector roads to the Pomona Freeway will be closed from midnight tonight until 5 a.m. Friday to allow the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works to widen the 1st Street Bridge, Caltrans officials reported.
Eastbound commuters on the Pomona Freeway will be detoured to northbound Atlantic Boulevard, then to the westbound lanes of the Pomona and southbound lanes of the Long Beach.
Westbound drivers on the Pomona will exit at Downey Road, proceed west on 3rd Street to enter the eastbound Pomona on-ramp and then southbound on the Long Beach.
