Jones, a Chatsworth High graduate, made stops at Pierce and Valley colleges before becoming starting fullback at Fresno State.

Cal State Northridge has signed three softball players to letters of intent, including Cami Allen, a junior college All-American pitcher from Palomar College.

Allen led Palomar to the state championship last season with a 30-5 record and an 0.55 earned-run average. CSUN also signed Beth Calcante, a shortstop from Newbury Park High, and Nicole Noyes, and infielder from Royal High.

Moorpark center Greg Taylor has committed to Pan American University in Edinburg, Tex., and Raider guard Roger Thomas has committed to Biola, Moorpark basketball Coach Al Nordquist said.

Taylor (6-foot-4 1/2) was the leading rebounder in the Western State Conference last season. He and Thomas, Moorpark’s second-leading scorer at 16.1 points a game, were All-WSC selections.
