This Bud’s for ESPN: More than $100 million worth of Anheuser-Busch beer advertising will appear on ESPN over the next five years, according to a joint announcement made by the giant brewer and the large cable network. The contract, which runs through 1994, represents one of the largest sponsorship commitments in cable-TV history. “Anheuser-Busch was ESPN’s first major advertiser and has consistently remained our largest,” said Roger L. Werner, ESPN president and chief executive.
