An arson fire severely damaged a Mira Mesa church early Thursday, officials said.
The arsonist entered by prying open a window of the First Baptist Church in the 10000 block of Rickert Road, said Capt. Jeff Carle of the Fire Department’s metro arson strike team.
No injuries were reported, and the fire caused $300,000 in damage, Carle said. Investigators have obtained information about a possible suspect.
