NASCAR President Bill France Jr. was in good condition at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Fla., after surgery for ankle injuries suffered in a boating accident.
France was hurt when a fishing boat, on which he was standing, went airborne over a large swell as it was heading from the Halifax River into the Atlantic Ocean.
