The British premiere of “The Krays,” a movie about the criminal exploits of twin brothers in London’s East End in the 1950s and 1960s, has led to calls for the government to ensure crime doesn’t pay. Reg and Ron Kray, who were jailed for life for murder in 1969, have received a check for $415,600 for their help in the movie, but a member of Parliament wants a ban on payments to criminals. The leads in the movie are played by Martin and Gary Kemp of the rock band Spandau Ballet . . . The ABC series “The Young Riders” stampedes into sweeps for the two-part season finale entitled “Gathering Clouds” to air Monday, May 7, and Monday, May 14, at 8 p.m. Preempting “MacGyver” for two weeks in a row, the show guest stars David Soul as Jeremy Stiles (aka The Hawk), schoolteacher by day and the leader of a revolutionary band of subversives by night.
