Lisa Leslie, Morningside High’s All-American center, has scored over 700 on her third attempt at the Scholastic Aptitude Test, making her eligible to play collegiate basketball as a freshman next fall.
The 6-foot-5 Leslie said she will take her final recruiting trip this weekend to Cal State Long Beach. She is also considering USC and Notre Dame.
Leslie averaged 27 points, 15 rebounds and seven blocked shots a game last season.
Leslie scored 101 points in a half against South Torrance this year. She was denied a chance at the national record of 105, set by Cheryl Miller of Riverside Poly in 1982, when South Torrance refused to play the second half.
