SANTA PAULA : Youth Hospitalized With Stab Wounds
A 17-year-old youth was found staggering and bleeding from multiple stab wounds early Sunday morning in Santa Paula, authorities said.
The victim, Manuel Ortiz, was in critical but stable condition Sunday after surgery for wounds in the abdomen and chest, said Cecelia Moore, nursing supervisor at Santa Paula Memorial.
Santa Paula police officers responding to a 2:20 a.m. call about fighting discovered the victim bleeding and staggering south on Ojai Street, said dispatcher Lesley Dybrack. No motive for the attack was known, Dybrack said.
