2 Lanes of Thomas Bridge to Be Closed for Bicycle Race
The two westbound lanes of the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro will be closed from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday for a bicycle ride sponsored by the Redondo Riviera Rotary Club. The Harbor Boulevard off-ramp from the bridge linking San Pedro with Terminal Island and East San Pedro will also be closed.
About 1,500 bicyclists are expected to participate in the ride, which will begin in the Hollywood Riviera section of Redondo Beach and will include crossing the bridge over the Los Angeles Harbor Main Channel.
