Artists Plan Free Expression Festival: The Coalition for Freedom of Expression, an ad hoc group established to support the National Endowment for the Arts, announced a Wednesday meeting to plan a Los Angeles “freedom of expression festival,” to be held June 22 through July 4. The festival will focus on work in all media that could be construed as testing the limits of acceptable art content under various proposals made by those who want to impose content standards on federally funded art. The 7 p.m. meeting will be held at the Sky Room at West Hollywood Park, 647 N. San Vicente Blvd.
