Real Madrid, newly crowned national soccer champion of Spain, pays a rare visit to Los Angeles for matches at the Coliseum tonight and Thursday. Also participating in the twin doubleheaders are Mexico, Cologne of West Germany’s Bundesliga and an all-star team representing Central America.

The main attraction is the appearance of Hugo Sanchez, Real Madrid’s Mexican national team striker. Sanchez, who played briefly for the San Diego Sockers, has been the leading goal scorer in the Spanish League for five years.

In Thursday night’s finale to the twin doubleheaders, Sanchez will play against his own national team when Real Madrid meets Mexico at 9 p.m. Cologne will play the Central American all-stars at 7.
