A San Diego man died early Tuesday of gunshot wounds he received the night before.
Francisco Sanchez-Chaires, 32, was found in the 3600 block of Van Dyke Avenue in East San Diego by police shortly after 10 p.m. Monday. He was taken to Mercy Hospital and died at 1:50 a.m.
A deputy county coroner said Sanches-Chaires was shot in the upper right arm and chest. He was a gardener and lived in the 3000 block of 40th Street.
