Comedian Bill Cosby asked a court in Los Angeles on Tuesday to appoint a trustee to control the assets of his former business manager, alleged to have embezzled more than $8.5 million from Cosby and his wife.

“It is nothing personal,” Cosby said of his former manager, Mary Waller. “But this is my money.”

He said Waller is incapable of controlling her money. Outside the courtroom, Waller, 46, said “Hi” to Cosby and kissed him on the cheek.

Cosby and his wife, Camille, sued Waller eight months ago, accusing her of embezzling more than $8.5 million from them during the time she was chief financial officer of SAH Enterprises, a Cosby corporation.

Last November, Waller filed for protection under the U.S. Bankruptcy Code.
