Celebrity Deaths: Davis, Henson and Jill Ireland

My husband and I have often recalled with pleasure a memorable performance by Sammy Davis years ago in Los Angeles. In response to shouted requests, Sammy presented his wife to the audience. There were audible murmurs, “She’s taller than he is!” His response, “Everyone’s taller than me.” Sammy was wrong--no one in the entertainment world was taller. And no one ever will be.
