Gibson as Hamlet
Letter writer Gabriel Furlong (May 13) does a disservice to the moviegoing public with his sweeping generalities about actor Mel Gibson and his audience.
Contrary to what Furlong contends, young people such as myself do know a lot more than television. It is a slight to an entire generation to discount their varied interests just because of their age.
To contradict Furlong again: Not only do my parents know who Mel Gibson is, my grandparents do too! So, Mr. Furlong, don’t tell me no one will pay to see him on the screen as Hamlet.
