6.0 Earthquake Rattles Tokyo

TOKYO —
A powerful earthquake rumbled through Tokyo and its environs today, but police said there were no injuries or damage. The quake, with a magnitude of 6.0, struck at 10:22 a.m., the Central Meteorological Agency said. Its epicenter was 12 to 18 miles off Japan’s eastern shore, and about 45 miles east of Tokyo.
