Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewski met with top officials of the Boston Celtics for three hours in a Washington, D.C., restaurant to discuss the possibility that Krzyzewski, 43, would replace Jimmy Rodgers, who was fired as coach last month.

Neither Celtic President Red Auerbach nor Krzyzewski said an offer had been made, but Krzyzewski said he expected the situation to be resolved “in the next few days.”
