FOOTNOTES : 92% of Matches’ Tickets Sold

MILAN, Italy —
Organizers of the World Cup soccer tournament say they have already sold 92% of the 2.6 million tickets available for the matches.
There will be at least 104 hours of live television broadcasts of the games over 148 networks to viewers in 118 countries.
Organizers predict that 25 billion people will watch the month of play on television.
Soccer, while enjoying moderate success in the United States, is by far the most popular sport in the world.
