Lighting Up U.S.-Mexico Border Area

I’m puzzled why there is an apologetic note regarding the stance of the United States. We are protecting our borders just as every other country is entitled to do. While we are very friendly with Canada and Mexico, Mexico still does not permit immigration without controls, nor does any other country.
When will the United States begin acting like the powerful country it is? I am asked this question by friends in many countries. The United States cannot absorb the illegal immigrants, the poor and the hungry from the entire world.
Appeals from Third World countries for economic assistance make no mention of controlling their population explosion, which is basic to their problem. The production in so many countries cannot keep up with their burgeoning population, yet they refuse to control the basic problem.
Los Angeles facilities are breaking down with the overburdening by thousands of illegals.
