Make My Traffic Jam: Producers of the latest Clint Eastwood movie used San Jose as a stunt double for Los Angeles on Sunday and closed a major freeway for action shots. Shooting for “The Rookies” shut down a two-mile section of I-680 on San Jose’s east side between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. and will continue during the same hours until Thursday and again on June 20. Although many films have been shot on state roads, the production marks the first time that a major Northern California freeway has been closed to make a movie, Caltrans officials said.
