‘Broadway’ Goes to Century City: “Jerome Robbins’ Broadway,” venturing beyond Broadway for the first time, will open at the Shubert Theatre in Century City in October. A compilation of 20 numbers from the musicals choreographed by Jerome Robbins, the show won six Tony Awards last year. The announcement of its Shubert run douses speculation that “City of Angels” would be up next at the Shubert, but the plan is to bring “City” to the Shubert following “Broadway,” said Roger Berlind, a co-producer of both shows. “Broadway” has been scheduled to run through Feb. 24; previews will begin Oct. 2. The show will be offered to Ahmanson-at-the-Doolittle subscribers as part of their season, and at first, tickets will be available only through the Ahmanson. Shubert subscribers will receive mail-order information.
