Former Dodger reliever Steve Howe remained in the Antelope Valley Hospital Medical Center because of a blood clot in a lung, but his condition was reported to be improved.
Howe, 32, whose baseball career has been interrupted several times by drug problems, is attempting another comeback, pitching for the Salinas Spurs of the Class-A California League.
