Maryland assistant basketball coaches Billy Hahn and Adam Preyer denied conducting preseason workouts, and six players say no illegal workouts were conducted last year.
In signed statements given to Maryland and NCAA officials, two former student employees in the athletic department allege they saw Hahn and Preyer participate in a preseason practice.
Maryland is appealing a three-year NCAA probation for violations during the tenure of former basketball coach Bob Wade. The NCAA’s Committee on Infractions will hear that appeal Aug. 1-3.
