DEL MAR FAIR : Grandstand Stage

Musical entertainment at the Del Mar Fair continues this week with Dionne Warwick, performing at 7:30 p.m. tonight on the Grandstand Stage.

Warwick, a pop star of the 60s with hits “Do You Know The Way To San Jose,” and “Don’t Make Me Over,” will also perform some of her solid gold hits of the early 80s--”I Know I’ll Never Love This Way Again,” and “Heartbreaker.”

On Friday, Expose, an all-female trio best known for their expressive vocals and electric personalities, makes a return engagement to the fair. They will perform their pop hits, “Seasons Change,” “Come Go With Me,” and “Point of No Return.”

Johnny Rivers, a pop star of the 1960s and one of the founders of the Monterey Pop Festival, will perform Saturday night. His Top 10 singles of the ‘60s include “Secret Agent Man,” “Mountain of Love” and “The Poor Side of Town.”

Country crooner Willie Nelson, famous for such songs as “Always On My Mind,” “On The Road Again,” and “Blue Eyes Cryin’ in the Rain,” will perform Tuesday.

Upcoming acts for the final week of the fair include Gordon Lightfoot on June 28 and Laura Branigan on June 29. The country western group The Oak Ridge Boys will conclude the fair with a performance on July 4.

Cost: Concerts free with $6 admission to the fair.

Notes: Seating is on a first come first served basis and fair officials suggest arriving early.
