Defending champions Curtis Strange and Mark O’Meara and golf legends Arnold Palmer and Lee Trevino have agreed to play in the second annual Ronald McDonald Children’s Charity Invitational at the Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks from Nov. 13-18.

Golfer Greg Norman, the tournament host, announced that the PGA Tour-sanctioned and co-sponsored event will be played under much the same format as it was last year.

There will be 10 two-man teams paired by Norman from a pool of the top five available 1990 PGA Tour money winners, top 10 all-time PGA Tour money winners and five players receiving sponsor invitations.

The teams will play three formats--best ball, alternate shot and scramble--and all three rounds will be televised nationally.

The best-ball play in the first round will be carried by ESPN and the alternate shot and scramble play in the second and third rounds will be shown by ABC.

There will be $1 million in prize money at stake, with the players on the winning team receiving $125,000 each.
